Trying out for Whiteout is about more than just making a team—it’s about discovering your potential, meeting new friends, and stepping into a supportive volleyball community. Whether you’ve played for years or are brand new to the sport, we encourage every girl to come give it a try.

Here’s what you can expect when you walk through the doors:

• A welcoming environment – Coaches and staff will be ready to greet you, answer questions, and help you feel at home.

• Skill assessments – We’ll run a variety of drills and activities designed to see your effort, hustle, and coachability—not just your volleyball experience.

• Teamwork focus – Volleyball is a team sport, so we look at how athletes encourage each other, communicate, and contribute on and off the court.

• Fair placements – Our placement process is thoughtful and transparent. Most athletes are placed on a team where they can learn and grow.

No matter your starting point, we want you to leave tryouts proud of your effort and excited about the opportunities ahead.

A note to parents: Thank you for supporting your athletes through this process. We’ll communicate team placements within a few days of tryouts, and if your child isn’t placed, we’ll provide guidance on next steps and future opportunities.

📅 Tryout Schedule

We will host two tryouts this fall, divided by age group:

• 14 & Under Tryout

  • Date: Tuesday, November 4, 2025

  • Time: 6:00-8:00 PM

  • Potential Second Date: Thursday, November 6, 2025. We will notify families in advance if a second session will be held, depending on registration numbers.

  • Location: Sleeping Giant School Gym

• 15 & Older Tryout

  • Date: TBD to not interfere with High School seasons (early November)

  • Time: 6:00–8:00 PM

  • Location: Sleeping Giant School Gym
